In my almost 20 years in talent acquisition, I have worked across different industries including legal, consulting, non-profit and financial services. I have been fortunate enough to be part of such great organizations as Goodwin Procter, State Street Corporation and Monitor Deloitte. In addition, I’ve partnered with the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in acquiring and working with some of the world’s top business school talent by serving as a member of their admissions committee and currently as a career coach.
Throughout my career, I have enjoyed not just finding a great match but helping hiring managers and candidates alike to understand what makes a great match. For me, it isn’t just about filling a role; it is about finding the right person, the one who will truly shine in the role. For the candidate, it is always about understanding all the dimensions that go into making something the “right” opportunity. To truly work, it needs to be a fit for all involved.
The same can be said of the college selection process; it’s about identifying the right school for you. It starts with taking a careful look at yourself, your interests and your abilities. You need to better understand yourself to properly sift through the 4,000+ college options to find that great match. Utilizing my background in talent acquisition and admissions, I can help you to explore career choices, find a college that will prepare you for that career and identify opportunities during your four years that will position you for success upon graduation.
Whether you are searching for the right college or career, you must put your best foot forward in the process. That means presenting the best and most authentic you in applications, essays, interviews, cover letters and resumes. Looking at you through the lens of an employer and admissions representative, I can provide honest, constructive feedback and insight to help you tell your story and articulate how the opportunity or college is the perfect match.
I am looking forward to getting to know the Best You.
